When it is sent, our time on Earth is over.

When a homicide detective specializing in the occult investigates a crime scene, he discovers that members of a cult and their intended sacrificial victim have all been burned alive indiscriminately. Could the deaths be part of a suicide pact, or are they the result of a serial killer, a vigilante, or group of fanatics targeting cultists, or is it someone…or something…even worse?

Loved the characters, the story, the Toronto references. I found the book ominous and sinister. The descriptive writing provides great visuals. Can’t wait to see what comes next. ~ Trish, Goodreads Review

Wonderful read! I felt as if I were watching a movie the entire time, each scene and character described with great visual sense! Also mildly terrifying. Definitely recommend, and look forward to what comes next from the author. ~ Michel, Goodreads Review

Clement’s characterization, narration, and world-building were earnest and endearing, indicative of an emerging author whose drive to spin a good tale derives from a hefty dose of both Canadiana and genre-focus that can only complement one another. Characters felt like real people, each with their own backgrounds and lives only hinted at throughout the course of the book. Their fresh voices breathed life into what is now a very old and very well-worn brand of horror. The gentle tour of Toronto that Clement played guide to while setting the stage was a great touch.
